Improving Your Agile Team Process With the Best of Scrum, Kanban and XP

XP was the first popular Agile method. Scrum has since risen as the most popular Agile method and is ironically now absorbing many XP practices. Kanban introduces many new practices, some of which appear to extend and while some appear to be counter to both. This talk highlights the best of all three of these methods and provides advice on how to use the lessons learned from each of these to improve your own Agile method, regardless of what it is.
Learning objectives include understanding
  • The cost of delay
  • The advantages of time-boxing
  • The cost of sprints
  • The value of explicit policies
  • Why visibility is critical to go beyond the team
The seminar is intended for those:
  • Wanting to improve their use of Scrum
  • understand the value of Kanban
  • learn about some differences and similarities of different Agile methods
