Summary

This program trains up to four people in being a trainer of Net Objectives' Implementing Team Agility course while training two groups of up to 20 people each. It achieves this by working with potential trainers and having them observe one course and teach another course with Net Objectives instructors watching. Additional training/coaching for the instructors is also provided.

Outline

Week 1 (1 day):

  • Net Objectives trainer teaches games used in Team Agility Course. Learning how to use games and simulations is both an important skill for an instructor/coach as well as a part of our training.  Games taught include the Dot Game (an  integral part of the Team Agility course) as well as Sailboat (useful for retrospectives) and Clean Slate (useful for identifying how people can improve their ecosystems. This one-day is on-site and includes some basic training concepts.

Week 2 (Monday-Friday):

  • Monday. Net Objectives instructor works with trainer candidates to prepare them for how the Implementing Team Agility course is taught.

  • Tuesday-Thursday. Three day Implementing Team Agility Course. This course is taught by a Net Objectives instructor for up to 20 people and observed by up to four potential trainers from your staff.  During the breaks and lunch the Net Objectives Instructor will provide insights on why the course is being taught the way it is.

  • Friday. Net Objectives instructor reviews with trainer candidates what happened in the course and explains more about how it is offered.

In between courses:

  • Materials (videos and articles) are provided to the trainer candidates so that they can study the course more deeply and to prepare for co-teaching the next class.  Remote coaching on these materials is provided as needed. Covering this material will take potential trainers about 8 hours.

Week 3 (Monday-Friday two or more weeks after first week):

  • Monday. Net Objectives instructor reviews course material to prepare trainer candidates for their delivery of the course.

  • Tuesday-Thursday. Three day Implementing Team Agility Course. This course is taught to another group of up to 20 people by the trainer candidates but observed by a Net Objectives instructor who can fill in whenever needed. During the breaks and lunch the Net Objectives instructor will provide insights to the candidate instructors to help.

  • Friday. Net Objectives instructor reviews course with trainer candidates and fills in any gaps so that they can teach the course on their own.

  • On-going:

Trainer candidates are now certified as instructors and can teach the courses as often as they like with no additional fees. The subscription for this course must be renewed annually. While licenses are up to date, updates to training materials will be provided at no addional charge.
