Net Objectives Lean-Kanban Conference

Want to learn how to start a transition of improvement in your organization that includes business stakeholders, management and the development team? Net Objectives can show you how with its 1-day, 2-track conference on Lean, Kanban and technical practices. This conference is designed for executives, managers, developers, testers, leads, project managers, QA - virtually anyone interested in improving their software development efforts - whether as part of an IT organization or as a product development group.

Net Objectives's unprecedented range enables us to present coverage of all of the methods required for Lean-Kanban adoption in an enterprise. By providing the conference in this fashion, attendees will be presented with a cohesive method of transitioning their organization (or team) to better methods. The methods presented are a combination of those from industry leading experts as well as some of our own leading edge methods. Our presenters have made presentations to such prestigious conferences as LSSC11, LESS10, LKBE10, LSSC10, SQE ADP, SQE BSC, Agile and more.

This is also a great opportunity to meet two of Net Objectives' top authors - Alan Shalloway, CEO, Fellow Consultant, Ken Pugh, newest Vice President and Senior Consultant in the Denver area, Geoff Felder, and Vice President and Senior Consultant Mike Cox. Alan is co-author of 4 books on design patterns, Scrum, Lean-Agile for the Enterprise and lean-agile technical skills. Ken is a Jolt award winner and author/co-author of two recently released books Lean-Agile Acceptance Test-Driven Development: Better Software Through Collaboration and Essential Skills for the Agile Developer: A Guide to Better Programming and Design (with Alan and two other Net Objectives' consultants)

This is not your normal conference

Most conferences are geared around tracks (information) or roles (people) and not necessarily an intent. While we have labeled ours by role, the conference is designed to provide answers for those folks with the following questions:

  • How do I start a Lean-Agile transition across a large organization?
  • As a developer, how can I best do my job now that my company has adopted Agile?
  • Our company has plateaued with Scrum, how do we pick up our improvement?
  • As an executive, I'm concerned that I'll lose control with Agile methods. How do I improve our development organization without losing control?

The Executive Track provides the basics of what an executive needs to have his organization begin a transition to Lean-Kanban methods. It includes both an overview of Lean, what it takes to transition to Lean-Kanban as well as experience reports of those who have completed this transition.

The Kanban Track provides a solid introduction to Kanban as well as providing insights to Scrum developers on how to use Lean-Kanban principles to improve their own practices - even while continuing to do Scrum.
