Seminar: Extending Scrum with Lean: Introducing Scrum#
Scrum has quickly become a popular choice for many Agile teams. Along with it, however, is a discovery of many limitations/challenges of Scrum. While the Scrum mantra of “inspect and adapt” tells you to figure out how to solve your problems, insights from Lean-Thinking can provide you with many potential solutions.
This seminar presents Net Objectives’ extension to Scrum, using Lean-Thinking to solve many of the problems organizations attempting to use Scrum beyond a few teams often face.
These include:
- How to coordinate teams when Scrum-of-Scrums does not seem to work well
- How to prepare for your first sprint when you can’t just start
- How to keep the big picture in mind while working on little things
- How to plan ahead when you have large stories
Additionally, some teams have a hard time adopting Scrum in the first place because they aren’t able to even create well defined teams. Instead, their staff have to work on many things at once – making Scrum all but impossible to do properly.
In this seminar you will learn the answers to these questions. Additionally, you will learn how the perspective of Lean-Thinking can assist in Scrum implementations.
