Understanding the Scaled Agile Framework

The Scaled Agile Framework is the only proven, publicly available framework for applying Lean-Agile practices at enterprise scale.

This talk presents SAFeTM from the perspective of Lean-Flow. While SAFe provides a place to start and prescribes practices at the portfolio, program and team (project) level, it is not intended to be followed blindly. Instead, it provides a framework for aligning efforts throughout an organization while creating an opportunity for learning across the organization on how to deliver value quickly and sustainably.

This seminar will describe SAFe from a Lean perspective, illustrating how SAFe is based on the principles of Lean Product Development flow.  In particular, participants will learn:

  • The challenges of achieving Scale & why an holistic view is needed
  • How the portfolio, program, team hierarchy guides the work
  • How the SAFe framework guides Lean Flow of development

The seminar will include at least 30 minutes of Q&A with more time available during the wrap up if desired.
