Course Objectives

After taking this course, participants will understand:
  1. How to use flow based software development to create and build high quality code in a shorter period than the team's current capability
  2. How to use Kanban or Scrumban depending which best suites the team's needs
  3. How to analyze and manage requirements in a Lean-Agile project
  4. Options for estimating, sizing and decomposing work
  5. The role of a Lean-Agile team member
  6. The role of the Lean-Agile Project Manager
  7. The role of the Product Champion
  8. The limitations of Scrum and how to apply Lean practices
  9. Why visibility is critical in all Lean-Agile implementations
The additional coaching provided enables the team(s) to define and build their Kanban/Scrumban boards by the end of the course.

Description

This course is essentially an integration of our Implementing Lean-Agile for Your Team with coaching to create a five-day bootcamp.

The format of the bootcamp is all participants receive an abbreviated version of the Implementing Kanban/Kanban for Your Team course in the first two days.  Teams then meet individually with the trainer/cocah to set up thei Kanban/Scrumban boards.  All teams reconvence at the end of the week to do additional feature and story creation.  This bootcamp is recommended for full teams.
