Net Objectives currently comprises 15 full-time employees, 10 of whom are senior developer/trainers. We operate in a collegial manner with a great amount of technical and personal freedom. Each month, a typical trainer/consultant at Net Objectives spends about 8 days training/consulting with another 8 days doing course development or writing. We have full-benefits (100% health/dental insurance, health club benefits, 30% profit sharing and more).

Net Objectives operates on the principle that "life works": our remuneration is in direct proportion to the value we deliver. Our vision is effective software development without suffering. We have an incredible work environment where interactions between senior staff is encouraged. We develop courses and write books and articles on the topics of Lean Software Development, Agile processes and Scrum, and software Design Patterns. Each trainer is expected to collaborate on a book.

We walk the talk. Many people say things like our commitments, but then they give you a benefit of free dinner so you can work late (breaking rule 1 and 4). Our benefits include things like 50% of the price of a health club membership (up to $100 per month), a $200/month stipend ($100 for non-exempt employees) for training and equipment in addition to what else you would expect (profit sharing, insurance, etc.). We're interested in attracting only the best people and then in keeping them.

Although our pay is comparable to other companies, we don't want people to come on board for the money. It's a unique environment we offer. Out of adding great value to our customers we reward ourselves. We have maintained our profitability since our inception because of following this mandate.
