The Test For a Good Team Scrum Course

May 10, 2018 — Posted by Al Shalloway

I've been writing about our new way of teaching Scrum and I realized here's the test of a good team Scrum Course:

  1. POs, Dev Team, and SMs are present and course is focused on team needs not any one role
  2. can accommodate up to 75 people so people working together learn together
  3. at the end of the workshop all teams have taken at least one of their features and created at least 1 story from it that has acceptance criteria and is no bigger than 3 days to complete
  4. the basics of Scrum are covered
  5. discuss issues the team is facing now or likely to face after Scrum adoption
  6. costs no more than current CSM classes
  7. provides a support system for questions that usually occur after a class. Address these issues in the course to both help avoid them and to facilitate learning how to mitigate them if they occur
